A report was published in September, 2008 by Yudelson Associates in Tucson, AZ for “The Mechanical Contracting Education and Research Foundation” (MCERF). The report discusses the European and North American markets as it relates to high performance buildings. The differences in climate, culture, politics and economics between North America and Europe are discussed. The report also discusses green building technologies currently in use in Europe with an emphasis on daylighting, green roofs, double facades and “radiant” systems (radiant ceilings, passive and active chilled beams). Dadanco received mention as a supplier of active chilled beams on page 27 of the report and Dadanco's project at 250 South Wacker in Chicago, IL also received mention on pages 31 and 44.

A newly designed mounting for our "mini" line of reduced pressure drop dampers that provides lower cost of installation and greater flexibility for the installing contractor.
Expansion of out of the wall (grille access) product group to allow the designer greater flexibility in meeting project requirements.
Introduction of a broader line of industrial products including combination louvers using airfoil blade dampers, along with a variety of industrial dampers for a wide variety of applications.

Yoder Manufacturing of Cleveland, Ohio, a member of the Formtek Group, has developed a new version of its W-10S/W-15S Reducing Tube Mill System to meet the needs of small diameter appliance refrigeration and automotive fuel line tubing. The Yoder W-10S/W-15S can produce ½” diameter tube and reduce a range of finish diameters and wall thicknesses down to 3/16”. The reducing section is independently adjustable, for 3/16” to 1/2” finish diameters. The versatility of this reducing configuration, recently updated with full digital controls, decreases changeover time and improves repeatability of setups. Additional upgrades of the mill enable sizing of tubes up to 1” diameter, along with its reducing capabilities. All of this is now available with CE certification for use in Europe.

Formtek Metal Forming announces the promotion of Jack Pennuto Jr. to the position of Sales Manager for Formtek Cleveland. Pennuto has had experience in the roll forming industry as a Sales Engineer for Formtek and previously as a Project Engineer/Manager and tooling designer at Roller Die + Forming. He will be responsible for establishing selling strategies for the Yoder, Dahlstrom, & Tishken Forming and Fabricating Lines, B&K Metal Construction Products and the Winpro Fenestration products as well as interfacing Cleveland’s marketing and application engineering efforts with the Formtek Group’s network of Regional Sales Managers and independent representatives.
