Mestek is a family of over 30 specialty manufacturers providing heating, ventilating, and air conditioning products, coil handling equipment and computer information systems and services.

 

Scope of Position:

Provides price quotations to Arrow customers and works with all phases of Arrow’s sales department. Provides sales service to our representatives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

List what the person must do to perform the job to meet standards:

·        Provides technical and sales support to Arrow customers

·        Receives inquiries for pricing on modified or special products

·        Reads blue prints and specifications to identify, select and quote products that meet the spec requirement and or competitors model selected

·        Responsible for prioritizing, estimating, preparing, and maintaining formal quotations

·        Provides price quotations to Arrow customers

o       Uses judgment in estimating labor and material costs and developing pricing

o       Work within profit guidelines

·        Receives competitive pricing on standard bills of material from our Rep force

·        Assists with all phases of Arrow’s Sales Department

·        Keeps track of orders including expediting, shipping detail, changes and claims

·        Handles product questions

·        Works with key outside reps

·        Prepares reports as needed to show on-time shipping, or the amount of product sold

·        Works with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing

·        Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested

 

Position Requirements:

The Sales Specialist must possess the minimum knowledge listed below:

·        Business degree or related experience preferred

·        0-4 yrs of experience

·        Previous sales experience a plus

·        Must be able to read blue prints and specifications

·        Fully competent with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook

·        Self motivated and team player

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills

·        Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills

·        Must be willing to travel up to 20%
